Smino, by the numbers
his entire Billboard 200 chart life, across two albums in nine years. Luv 4 Rent spent two weeks on the chart and NOIR spent one
Two Billboard 200 entries in nine years, three chart weeks between them, and not one Hot 100 entry in his life. He also appears twice on an album that opened at No. 1. Every figure links the source it was read from.

2026
Four albums, and the one that never charted
- 14 Mar 2017blkswn, released on 3/14 for the area code
The debut arrives through Downtown, dated to St. Louis's 314. Rolling Stone later lists it among the 40 best rap albums of 2017. It does not enter the Billboard 200.
- 8 Nov 2018NOIR charts for one week
It enters the Billboard 200 at No. 191 and is gone the following week. Pitchfork gives it 7.6.
- 5 Jul 2019He appears twice on a No. 1 album
Revenge of the Dreamers III opens at No. 1 with 115,000 units, 23,000 of them pure sales. Smino is credited on 1993 and Sacrifices. Neither track entered the Hot 100.
- Oct 2019Ghetto Sage forms with Noname and Saba
The trio release Haagen Dazs. No Ghetto Sage album has been released and the group has no Billboard chart entry.
- 28 Oct 2022Luv 4 Rent peaks at No. 50
His highest album peak, two weeks on the chart, and No. 28 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Pitchfork gives it 7.7 and does not name it Best New Music.
- 6 Dec 2024Maybe in Nirvana, and full independence
Billboard describes the fourth album as arriving through his own independent label, Zero Fatigue. It does not enter the Billboard 200.
The business
Where the money sits
Zero Fatigue, and what independence costs on a chart
Billboard calls Zero Fatigue his independent label in its coverage of Maybe in Nirvana. The collective also carries Bari, Jay2, Monte Booker and Ravyn Lenae. Independence is the reason the 2024 album exists on his terms, and a plausible part of why it did not chart.
BillboardThe first-week figures nobody ever published
No reputable outlet has reported an opening-week figure for any Smino album. The only number in circulation traces to a post on Reddit and does not distinguish pure sales from equivalent album units, so this page states none. For a career measured on acclaim rather than volume, the absence of any sales story is itself the finding.
Questions people are asking
Smino, answered
Has Smino ever been on the Billboard Hot 100?
No. Billboard's artist page exposes no Hot 100 chart history for him, as a lead artist or as a feature. Sacrifices, the Dreamville track he appears on, does not appear in J. Cole's Hot 100 chart history either. His entire Billboard presence is two album-chart entries.
What is Smino's highest-charting album?
Luv 4 Rent, which peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard 200 in November 2022 and spent two weeks on the chart. NOIR reached No. 191 for one week in 2018. blkswn (2017) and Maybe in Nirvana (2024) did not enter the chart at all.
Did blkswn chart?
No. It is absent from Billboard's complete artist table. Rolling Stone named it one of the 40 best rap albums of 2017 and NPR called it one of that year's best debut LPs, and it never entered the Billboard 200.
How much did Smino's albums sell in their first week?
No reputable outlet has ever published a first-week figure for any of them. The only number in circulation cites a Reddit thread as its source and does not separate pure sales from equivalent album units, so we do not repeat it.
Has Smino won a Grammy?
No. The Recording Academy's artist page lists one nomination and no wins, and the nomination is not an artist award: it is Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for Dawn at the 2022 ceremony, where he is credited among eleven audio professionals.
